Restore dull, oxidized aluminium to a brilliant showroom finish with an industrial-strength acid-based cleaner. This formula is a high-performance necessity for marine and transport resellers and a critical restoration tool for workshops maintaining aluminium boats, trailers, and heavy vehicle components.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Salty Captain Instant Aluminium Cleaner is a specialised acid-based formula engineered to chemically strip away heavy oxidation, salt corrosion, and environmental tea-staining. Beyond simply cleaning, it acts as a high-powered brightener, reversing the dull grey appearance of raw aluminium to reveal a fresh, bright surface. For resellers and industrial suppliers, this is the definitive solution for customers looking to restore neglected tinnies, aluminium trailers, and fuel tanks.
For commercial workshops, fleet managers, and marine service centres, this product delivers instant results where standard detergents fail. It is specifically designed for unpainted, non-polished aluminium surfaces, making it the go-to for structural components, chassis, and marine hulls. Due to its potent acidic nature, this product is classified as a Dangerous Good (DG), ensuring professional-grade strength for the most demanding restoration tasks.

FAQ
FAQ
Why is this classified as a Dangerous Good?
Because this formula is primarily acid-based to provide instant chemical restoration, it must be handled, stored, and transported according to Australian DG regulations. Resellers and workshops should ensure staff are briefed on correct PPE and storage requirements.
Can it be used on polished or chrome surfaces?
No. This is a heavy-duty restorer that will dull a high-polish or mirrored finish. For customers with polished aluminium tanks or chrome work, we recommend our pH-neutral washes. This product is strictly for restoring raw, dull, or oxidized aluminium.
How does this improve workshop efficiency?
Mechanical polishing of oxidized aluminium is incredibly labour-intensive. This formula chemically brightens the metal in minutes, allowing your team to skip hours of manual scrubbing and move straight to the final protection phase.
Is it safe for marine mechanics to use on outboard brackets?
Yes, it is highly effective at removing the white salt crust and oxidation that forms on unpainted outboard brackets and mounting hardware. Ensure the area is rinsed thoroughly with fresh water after application.
Are SDS sheets available for compliance?
Yes. Comprehensive Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are provided for all volumes. These are mandatory for your records to ensure compliance with Australian workplace health and safety (WHS) and DG storage regulations.
